It’s February and so I am a little late to the game but here I am, making reading goals for this year.

My career continues to move towards the literary world and so I set my mind to turn off the TV and pick up a book.

Less Netflix, More Reading.

Here are the books I want to read this year. A lot of them are ones I’ve always wanted to read and never have.

  • Currently Reading: Stephen King’s Misery
  • More King novels. I really enjoy thrillers.
  • The Harry Potter series. I’ve only read books 1-3.
  • A John Grisham novel…or two.
  • Gone With The Wind.
  • The Time Travelers Wife.
  • Eleanor & Park
  • One of Lauren Conrad’s novels.
  • Beautiful Disaster
  • Lord of the Flies
  • The Girl On The Train
  • Persuasion
  • The Great Gatsby
  • The Help
  • First Love
  • Wizard Of Oz
  • Princess Bride
  • The Merchant’s Daughter
  • Me Before You

This is my list so far…I’m sure I’ll add to it or maybe only be able to get through the above. We shall see.

What’s on your reading list for this year?

I haven’t read any of those books, but I love gone with the wind, the girl on the train, and the great gatsby!!! Seems like a really great list, Jillian!

  2. Renzi | 8th Feb 18

I like the list. I’m a fan of John Grisham novels so hope you like it too. I’m reading Who Says You Can’t? You Do right now, and so far it is an excellent book for self-reflection. I have a few parenting books on my list as well. Hope you get to read all of them this year. My other goal is to read a book each month since I haven’t been into reading except reading children’s books haha.

The book you’re reading now sounds GREAT!!! And LOL, I totally understand. The books I read the most are Princess ones, The Pigeon Wants To Drive The Bus, and The Lady Bug Who Never Said A Word. haha. xoxo.

I don’t make a list. I do have a book shelf full waiting but I won’t necessarily read them this year. I’ve found I actually read more when I pick as I go, even having 3 or more going at once. Never thought I’d read that way but it’s working for me now. Of course they are all different types, like a novel, self help, parenting, devotional, etc. Once I get to the end of one whatever strikes my fancy I go with that, often one I recently heard of not one I planned lol

lol, I so get it. I want to use this list as a guideline for what to read next but you know Im very go with how Im feeling, so what I choose next will depend on my mood. When I read Princess Bride, I’ll let you know. 😉 xoxo.
