Blogmas: The Night Before December 1st…

Happy Blogmas and Friday and December 1st!!! Yay!

I excite easily. lol.

Last night kicked off our Christmas fun!

We got our little elf, her name is Lizzy and had some fun reading the ELF ON THE SHELF story and enjoying some snacks with the girls. I wanted to get a boy elf and name him Brad but the girls weren’t into it. lol.

However, they are asking me to buy a nutcracker so that Lizzy and him can be in love.

I’m considering it. 😉

I LOVE CHRISTMAS so much! My parents were amazing at setting traditions, keeping them every year, and making the holidays truly special. I hope my children will be able to say the same of Jacob and I.

Speaking of my sweet husband…

He picked out these stockings and surprised me with them. They are three little stockings for our 3 babies in Heaven, the children we’ve lost to miscarriages. I cried laying them out, all ready to be hung by our other stockings.

Remembering Jamie, Shiloh, and our little Magnolia (who we lost about 6 months ago) brings so much healing. They are our babies and just as much a part of the family as if they were here. Especially having just lost Magnolia months ago, the grief is still very close to our hearts but these things help. 🙂

And so we kicked off the night with lots of giggles and after the girls were snuggled into bed, I got my own cuddles with Jacob on the couch before we went to bed. Great way to kick off our month.

My verse for the month:

But those who hope in the Lord
    will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
    they will run and not grow weary,
    they will walk and not be faint. – Isaiah 40:31

For Blogmas, I’ll be posting once a day…mainly a picture(s) with a short post. I hope you enjoy the series. My minimal-ish series will continue as usual on Sundays.

    Super cute little story. I HATE the elf on the shelf with a passion. The little thing creeps me out. Haha. But I do enjoy reading other people’s stories. And I am so impressed with your strength and perseverance after losing three babies. You go girl.
