5 Characteristics Of A BOSS GIRL

No fluff, let’s jump in.

  1. SHE has a goal, a vision, a dream and she goes for it!!! The female boss knows that she has a purpose on this earth. She uses her unique gifts, her skills, and her personality to be the glitter on top of her work ethic and her values. She is driven, she is focused, she fails, and she keeps going. This woman knows her purpose is worth pursuing and she kicks fear in the face, hopefully in some amazing stilettos.
  2. SHE supports other women. This woman is a woman who acts like a WOMAN. She is not a child and she has no time for petty drama. She is encouraging, supportive, and genuinely happy for other women. She doesn’t play the follow and unfollow game on social media (and all my boss babe friends say AMEN, lol). She does her thing and inspires the women around her. A great example is BOSS BABE, INC.’s CEO Natalie Diver, she is so sweet and has liked many tweets of mine when I hashtag #BossBabe. I feel supported by her and that’s such a classy quality that every female boss should have.
  3. SHE puts her best foot forward. This doesn’t mean that she always looks like she’s ready for the red carpet but it does mean that she cares about her appearance. She knows self-care is important for her health and well being. She isn’t ashamed of the beauty that God gifted her with and she knows people will make assumptions of her by her appearance first and everything else second. She takes those first impressions seriously. This is a woman who knows that beauty begins in the heart and the physical side is just the packaging to her precious heart. No one wants to receive a beautiful diamond bracelet in a garbage bag. No, you’d carefully place it in a beautiful box and maybe wrap it with nice paper or adorn it with a pretty bow. The boss girl is a woman who values herself enough to put her best foot forward…and she also knows when to get in her sweats and just chillax. 😉
  4. SHE never stops learning. A smart woman is a woman who knows that she can always learn something new. Taking webinars, going to conferences, listening to podcasts, and reading are some ways that the female entrepreneur, business woman, boss girl continues to learn and grow in her craft. This woman wants to be inspired by the men and women who have gone before her.
  5. SHE doesn’t compare her journey to others. The boss girl knows that she is unique and her path is specific to her. She stays focused on her journey. This woman knows that comparison is a thief and her purpose is too valuable to be stolen away by doubt, jealousy, insecurities, and fear. She is happy for those who have success and she continues pursuing her own. *I also believe this woman trusts herself and if she is a believer, trusts God to be her strength and use her.

Here’s to all the women who believe in their dreams and chase them passionately.
