Last night I attended a webinar for entrepreneurs and the woman leading the course said that successful people SHOW UP.
I love that.
Going back to my last blog post and sharing how I made the decision to no longer coast in my life, this encouragement last night hit my heart hard.
I need to continue working to be a woman who shows up for her life.
That means waking up at an appropriate hour, seeking God first, and preparing myself for the day. It means not being okay with just getting by. This is my ONE life. I don’t get a redo. None of us do.
Colossians 3:23 says that whatever we do, we should do it for the Lord.
To me that translates into my work as a mother, a wife, an entrepreneur, a friend, etc.
SO SHOW UP.
You’re worth the little effort it takes to make good habits in the morning so you’re ready to tackle your day.
Make a routine. Start with prayer and reading a verse or two. Lay out your outfit the night before. DON’T WAIT TO BE SOME PERFECT NUMBER ON THE SCALE TO DRESS CUTE! Do your hair. Make a to-do list. Love on your husband and children. Fill up on worship music. Do a work out.
And even in this pursuit to be intentional and seek the abundant life, we remember that perfect is not something to strive for. We strive for holiness, as Jesus is holy, and we accept a lot of grace for our mess ups. We don’t give up. We show up. We seek God. We love big and we live large!
Whatever you do: mom, working woman, college student…all three, do it with your whole heart for an audience of One, the one!
SHOW UP FOR YOUR LIFE. Jesus thought you were worth having a full life. He died for it. John 10:10.
